Visit Park Rapids Minnesota in the heart of the Minnesota lakes area. Park Rapids resorts welcome you.
Main Street in Park Rapids has not changed much since I went to junior high school there in the '50's. And I love that it hasn't!
Cars still park in the center of the street; the old-fashioned soda fountain where we danced to the juke box, and the classic movie theater are all still there.
The wide street that accommodates center street parking is a legacy from the logging days in the area. The arrival of the railroad and the establishing of our first state park....Itasca...was the impetus for the arrival of tourists to the area.Park Rapids Minnesota Vacation Planning
