There are many many more gems in Grand Rapids, Itasca County MN than the Forest History Center!
We have the world's own Judy Garland Museum as she was born here in Grand Rapids Itasca County. We have the only one live outdoor ampitheater on the Mississippi River.
There is a steamboat that pulls up to the landing with cast members on it and they deliver a fun, musical variety vaudeville style show for three weeks in summer.
We have the Joyce Estate - built in 1920's - made up of about 40 buildings including tennis courts, an airplane hangar ' runway & other luxurious amenities for the Joyce family - one of the richest families in the world.
There has been a film documentary in production here over the summer called Gems of Itasca.
