We Love Minnesota Lakes

One of our favorite Minnesota lakes!
We have come to Minnesota every summer for more than 20 years. There is lots to see and do in Minnesota but, for us, being near a Minnesota lake is a "must."
We love the big fishing lakes in northern Minnesota because my husband and kids all love to fish. Other times we focus on a lake that offers more in the way of family fun.
There are some great resorts on the lakes near Detroit Lakes (I'm sure in many other areas as well but that is where we have been) and we will be at one of those again this summer.
A few years ago we got hooked on what Minnesota lakes offer in winter as well. We came for an ice-fishing contest near Brainerd and also watched some snowmobile races on a lake in the Twin Cities during your winter carnival.
