Alpacas are making history with our 4th Annual Alpaca Halter & Fleece Show. The 2nd weekend in April of 2011 is a truly unique venture for the whole family.

You’ve simply never had the opportunity to attend a true Alpaca event in Minnesota of this nature and now you can. Their big beautiful eyes, phenomenal colors and gentle disposition will grab your attention. They are wonderful in presence with one of the most luxurious fibers of many colors, known to man. The splendor of Alpacas has won many hearts of all ages. The humming sounds will have you grinning from ear to ear.

Alpacas produce the strongest fiber in the world and is known to be warmer than wool. They do not have lanolin or oils that can be harmful for those that have allergies. The cashmere-like feel allows those with the most sensitive skin to wear alpaca next to the skin. Alpaca fiber is highly sought after in high end fashion and now most yarns are available in your back yard.

The prime fleece is virtually free of guard hair that causes the itchy factor. Have you worn alpaca lately? Curious to the serious are all welcome to join us in making history in Minnesota.

There will be approximately 600 hundred alpacas of 22 colors and variations joining in a healthy competition of the Best Alpacas in the region. Their owners will be available to help with any questions you may have.

There will is over 6,000 square feet of a show rings for judging alpacas. Not sure how they are judged? Come see the explanations of what two international judges say of what to expect from the fleece and conformation of Suri Alpacas and Huacaya Alpacas.

Skein Competition opens to all levels of hand spinners and production Fiber Mills. The public is encouraged to join us.

Costume Contest for the children. This is too much fun for all as a participant or an observer!

Vendors at the Expo are not the norm! We were able to design a different and unusual array of shopping. This is a must see! Food Court in Loft surrounded by windows that overlook the whole event.

I went to this last year and it was the craziest thing we ever did see. I totally fell in love wth the animals. They were so beautiful to say the least. I bought a 100% baby alpaca scarf that was made from the alpaca right in the stall. It was beautiful. I am happy to see that they will be back again. Our whole family will be there for sure. It is a great day. Thank you for not charging an admission.
