Festival of Adventures in Aitkin

by Midge
(Aitkin)

This event has crafts and characters in a peaceful riverside setting.

Costumed demonstrators are happy to share their skills with you.

Small town friendliness makes this more like a family re-union than a Rendezvous.

Big dissapointment
by: Amy S.

Sorry, but this event has gone down hill in the past year. What happened to the good music your event used to offer or the variety of good food?

We live in the Twin Cities and have attended for the last 10 years, but last fall the event has shrunk and in really gotten a lot less appealing -- including the new location.

The costumed people were really lackluster last fall. I used to bring our kids and the history part was always top notch. Last year it was pretty boring for our kids, and the costumed historical participants seemed more interested in socializing and hanging out with their peers and not very friendly to the public in attendance. :(

I don't think we will be back again.

When is the Aitkin Festival?
by: Anonymous

Hi Midge,

Sounds very interesting. Could you tell us a little bit more about this festival? Our family is not familiar with Aitkin so, if we come, where in town will we find this festival?

Also, what is the date, or dates, of the Festival of Adventure?

Thanks for any other information you can share.
