Winter Fun in Duluth
- John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon, Duluth to Grand Portage, Minnesota: At almost 400 miles, the Beargrease is the longest sled dog race in the lower 48 of the United States. 2009 Race - January 25 - 29
- Fitger's Annual Northwoods Snowshoe Championships
includes a marathon race, a half marathon and a 10km race. Competitors range in age between 9 and 79.
