Crow Wing State Park
Crow Wing State Park is a Minnesota state park located about 10 miles southwest of Brainerd in central Minnesota at the point where the Mississippi and Crow Wing rivers converge.
Some of Crow Wing State Park's attractions include:
- Historic site of the Old Crow Wing Village
- The"Chippewa Lookout" offers picturesque views of the Mississippi River
- Canoe the calm waters of the Crow Wing and Mississippi Rivers
- Hike a section of the famous Woods Trail, which served ox cart traffic between St. Paul and the Red River settlements
- Oak forest, aspen, jack, red pine, white pine, prairies, and wetlands
- Look for white-tailed deer, beaver, muskrat, and waterfowl in the wetlands and waterways. You may spot eagles and hawks flying along the riverway.
