Bear Head Lake State Park
Bear Head Lake State Park is a Minnesota State Park near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and Ely Minnesota. The park was established in 1961. This is the farthest north "drive in" camping area. Once you reach the wilderness of the Boundary Waters, campgrounds are reachable only by backpacking and canoeing.
