Winter Fun Ideas to Begin 2013

Winter fun in 2013 begins with visits to an ice castle, a sled dog race, and a winter festival. Add free ice skating in a metro winter wonderland. As we always say: don't hide from winter; get out and play!

Ice Castles at the Mall of America: Dec. 31, 2012 - Feb. 20, 2013

The Mall of America has constructed a 40-foot tall Ice Castle completely out of icicles. View this one-of-a kind spectacle spanning more than one acre, from late December to February 20, 2013. The Ice Castle is constructed from icicles grown from 4 million gallons of water and fused together to form shimmering archways, tunnels, walls and caverns that you can walk through. Take memorable photos within this unique creation.

Tickets may be purchased at the Ice Castle gate or at any Mall of America guest service desk. Discounts are available for groups of 15 or more. Call (952) 883-8809 or email groupsales@mallofamerica.com for rates and hours the Ice Castles can be explored.

Dress warmly!
